Fit without guesswork

Sizing Guide

Use the garment measurements—not only the tag—to judge how a secondhand piece may fit.

Tag sizes vary across brands, eras, and individual garments. Start with the listed measurements and compare them with a similar piece you already own and like.

Tops and jackets

  • Chest: measured straight across from pit to pit.
  • Shoulders: measured across the back from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
  • Sleeve: measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff.
  • Length: measured from the high shoulder point to the hem.

Trousers and shorts

  • Waist: measured straight across the waistband, then doubled.
  • Rise: measured from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband.
  • Inseam: measured from the crotch seam to the hem.
  • Leg opening: measured straight across the hem.

Measurements are taken by hand, so allow for small variation. Add an item-specific question to your purchase request before completing a purchase.
